CONCERT 5:

Sunday, June 20, 3pm (St Peter Chanel Church)

In Memory of Jani Haenke

Jani Haenke was a friend and inspiration to many of us and a Stradbroke Island community activist. This festival wouldn’t have gotten off the ground if it wasn’t for her encouragement and support. She was devoted to the arts and the environment, particularly her beloved Straddie.

The festival ends with a bang with Schubert’s iconic string quintet.

Schubert Der Hirt auf den Felsen (’Shepherd on a Rock’) for soprano, clarinet and piano

Purcell and Handel arias
